T-DOSE is a free and yearly event held in The Netherlands to promote use and development of Open Source Software. During this event Open Source projects, developers and visitors can exchange ideas and knowledge. This years event will be held on 26 and 27 October 2013 at the Fontys University of Applied Science in Eindhoven.

NLLGG gamestoernooi (1 Juni 2013)

Op zaterdag 1 juni heeft de NLLGG leuke sessies in petto! Ze gaan namelijk in samenwerking met het Nederlandse Linux Magazine een gamestoernooi houden, uiteraard met Open Source spellen. Het gaat om de spellen MegaGlest, SuperTuxKart en Xonotic. Er zal dus flink gestreden worden! Wil je ook meedoen, schrijf je dan in, zodat ze ongeveer kunnen inschatten hoeveel mensen ze kunnen verwachten (http://www.nllgg.nl/bijeenkomst/20130601).

T-DOSE 2012

Two days filled with 34 talks on subjects ranging from Open Source in Education, System Administration to Software Development. In the hallways 3D printers were on show and the central space harboured Open Source projects. On Sunday there were workshops on git and debian packaging.

Like every year there was a Social Event, where speakers, visitors and developers can talk over a beer and something to eat. The evening was a big success and many interesting talks where held.

Dutch Railways does extensive maintenance (expect delays)

The dutch railways are doing extensive maintenance (http://www.ns.nl/werktrajecten/) this weekend. Trajectories to and from Utrecht (Nijmegen - 's Hertogenbosch, Utrecht CS - 's Hertogenbosch - Eindhoven) are affected. They will deploy busses, but visitors to T-DOSE should expect longer travel times.

T-DOSE conference this weekend (27 and 28 October)

On Saturday 27 October the 7th T-DOSE conference will be opened by
Lennart Poettering with a keynote. Lennart is well known for his
developments on PulseAudio and Systemd (a Sys V init replacements). He
has a fresh look on todays issues and comes up with surprising solutions.

In cooperation with 'Open Source Onderwijs" (Open Source Education) an
entire track of lectures around open source usage in Education will be
given on Saturday 27th October.

Projects at T-DOSE

T-DOSE is truly the meeting point for various projects and communities in the Netherlands. Visitors interested in Open Source, software and hardware engineers are represented. As an example during both days 'a walk in workshop' with Open Source hardware is held in the central hall, but also a complete track about using Open Source in Education on Saturday. It is the place to be on the last weekend of October!

T-DOSE: Register for Social event now

T-DOSE social event takes place on Saturday October 27th, 2012 from 18:00 till the end. On this social event you will be able to meet speakers, members of Open Source projects or your fellow developers. Attendees of the social event will gather at the entrance of the T-DOSE event location. Don't be late, we will leave on 18:00 hrs to the Social Event somewhere in Eindhoven.

LPI Exams at T-DOSE

The Linux Professional Institute (LPI) offers PBT LPI exams at T-DOSE.

LPI Certifications are globaly accepted certifications that are:
- Designed by a community of Linux professionals, volunteers, vendors and educators
- Challenging: if you don't know the subjects you won't pass
- Accessible and available at thousands of test centres around the world or at special events
- Of high quality: relying on critical input from numerous Linux experts and employing scientific and industry- recognized psychometric processes

Hackable devices and 3D printers at T-DOSE

Visitors will be able to view hackable devices and 3D printers based on the beaglebone during both days of T-DOSE conference. Wim vandePutte and Mitch Altman will be running ad hoc soldering workshops to do various arduino projects. In the same corner Koen Kooi will show of 3D printers, beaglebones and various other Open Source hardwares..

Keynote Lennart Poettering

Lennart Poettering will give the keynote speech at Saturday 27th October at T-DOSE. Lennart is a computer programmer, best known for the creation of the PulseAudio cross-platform sound server, the systemd replacement for the System V init daemon, and the Avahi zeroconf implementation.
He was born in Guatemala City but grew up in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and Hamburg, Germany.[4] Poettering currently works for Red Hat.

T-DOSE 2012 is held at 27 and 28 October 2012 in Eindhoven, The Netherlands.

Call For Paper deadline is on 31st August

The holiday season is nearly over. I assume everybody has been refreshed and is starting with a clear mind into the last half year of 2012. As everybody knows T-DOSE event is held at 27 and 28 of October in Eindhoven, The Netherlands..

Speakers can submit ideas and abstracts for a talk online at T-DOSE website. All talks will be held in English and last about ~50 minutes (with 5-10 minutes left to change tracks). Details for the speaker and project registration can be found here.
